Finally found perfect dress for wedding, versatile enough for other occasions |
One of my dear friends is getting married next weekend. I've known about it for over a year, yet I waited until the last minute to choose the reading, buy my dress and nearly waited too long to book my travel arrangements.
I'm truly happy for her and know this will be a very good marriage. But it's the second year in a row that I've had to spend over $1000 to travel for another person's happiness, and selfishly I feel petulant about it! Not only do I not see a wedding ring in my future, I don't even have a date, I know what you're thinking, but I already know the guest list, there's no single guys on it for even so much as a hook up :(
Okay, I got that out. Now I'm gonna shake if off, look fabulous and feel blessed to be celebrating with such a loyal and lovely friend and new friend, her husband to-be.
Hi Doreen,
ReplyDeleteThanks, the wedding was excellent! A good trip all the way around. Didn't meet the love of my life, but think I made some new friends.
Bridesmaids is a hoot! I did see it this summer. And you're right, the friendship part is also very touching and apropos to my situation.
